After a long day of surveying in west Georgia, my survey partner and I stumbled upon the Auchumpkee Creek Bridge. On its 100th birthday, the Auchumpkee was damaged severely during the floods of 1994. In 1997, the bridge was restored to what you see now...pretty impressive. Today it is one of fifteen remaining covered bridges in Georgia.
